Given the brutal regime's response to Lobo Sosa developed national strike day Today, the Convergence for Human Rights northwestern pronounce as follows:

FIRST: We condemn the bloody repression exercised by the police and the army against peaceful demonstrations, systematically violating the constitutional rights of expression, organization and mobilization of all Hondurans.

SECOND: We denounce the arrest of journalist Pedro Lopez, a correspondent for Radio Progreso, who was captured while serving arbitrarily inform its work on the road making up to Pimienta, Cortes, reflecting that this regime does not respect the law freedom of press, particularly when it comes to alternative means of social communication.

Third: We demand an immediate end to repression, the release of all arrested and detained in connection with these protests, and the punishment of the intellectual and material of the same.

FOURTH: We remind the police and military top brass and senior government officials have, that human rights violations being committed at this time of repression can constitute crimes against humanity and therefore, investigated and punished by International Criminal Court.

FIVE: Finally, on behalf of human dignity and superiority of the values represent human rights, we urge the Minister of Justice and Human Rights Lawyer Ana Pineda, not to continue as part of this criminal regime.
